HEC update March 2009
Louise recently meet with the canteen staff to review products and how the funding from our Northern Sydney Seeding Grant for teacher and canteen staff was utilised. Together, they reviewed our current canteen menu and highlighted each product on the menu, using the red, amber, green traffic light system (which is used in most NSW canteens). "We looked at possible changes to the foods sold and found healthier alternatives using the healthy canteens website. We discovered that some of the green foods could actually be changed for healthier options! As the healthy eating coordinator, I found the day to be extremely interesting and I look forward to seeing the changes in our canteen. " Louise Hodgson
