                                        It is unlikely that any of us are not touched in some way by depression, anxiety, substance abuse, stress syndromes and other mental health issues. This Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is an absolute must for anyone who deals with health and lifestyle, being abel to recognise signs and signals and understand the challenges is essential to positive outcomes. Better understand how to provide initial support to a person experiencing a mental health crisis or developing a mental health problem.  Based on the International MHFA Guidelines, and presented by Psychologist, Michele Rickenbach you will gain the latest insights into mental health in a professional, personalised and highly informative way. The eCourse will be released mid-2012.

                                        COURSE OUTLINE
                                        Four modules of three hours of study for each, plus assessable tasks and at least one trainer-to-student discussion (phone or Skype).

                                        Brief course content
                                        Depression
                                        Anxiety
                                        Psychosis
                                        Substance misuse
                                        Suicidal thought and behaviours
                                        Non-suicidal self-injury
                                        Panic attacks
                                        Traumatic events
                                        Sever psychotic states
                                        Sever effects from alcohol or other drug misuse
                                        Aggressive behaviours

                                        Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of these mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help as been shown by research to be effective.

                                        All students receive a cop of the MHFA manual to keep and a Certificate of Completion
